Review:
Yay another mockbuster film. This time of the established franchise Fast and Furious. I know it is repative but The Asylum just makes horrible movies. Not Troma bad that are so awesome you love them. But instead they make the movies that make your skin crawl, your stomach upset and give you bloody diaherria bad. This one is no exception as it leans heavily on Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift for its story.

Where the main character named Johnny Wayne kills a father and paralyzes a kid in a street racing accident. Then goes to jail for five years. Which is fine and dandy if the story wasn't presented in a Happy Meal fashion. He get's out and has a bad parole officer who tells him he must race for him and steal a car. In order to do so. So he steals the souped up BMW from his boss who gets mad and fires him. Only to rehire him after he is told of what happens.

On the flip side he works as janitor at a local hospital and meets the kid he paralyzed. Then becomes his best friend and even starts to date his older sister. All of this is to set up to neat and just all boxed up just like that Happy Meal from McCracks. They even include a bow on top. Despite everything this story does have a good ending and it is one you see coming from a a mile away.  But it is not fulfilling in the least and it just leaves you with a ugh feeling afterwards.

Which is the usual for these movies. As for the actors themselves do what they need to do to get paid. But never more than that. With acting this bad and purposely bad it makes me feel that they never cared about the movie. Unlike some of these movies I have seen. The Asylum really does not care at all. They choose to throw poop at a wall and hope it sticks. Instead what it does is leave a streak a mile long. That we as viewers and critics in all honesty should avoid.

But can't as Sy-Fy usually show cases these abonation's on Saturday nights as their Saturday Feature Presentation. We all know how good Sy-Fy movies are don't we folks. Anyways as far as racing movies go. This movie is not worth watching as the cars are generic, the action is non-existent and the races are sub-par even by standards set in the 80's.

If you need a good movie dealing with cars and races. Go see Smokey and the Bandit, Fast and Furious or even Death Race. All of these movies have something this one is missing. That is a principal heart and the cars are what people want to see most. Not bad acting and two minute long races with horrible commentary.

My Rating: 1.5/5 Stars
